LMA – LEBANESE MUSLIM ASSOCIATION
The Lebanese Muslim Association (LMA) is a not for profit organisation that has been operating since 1962. It is most prominently associated with being the caretaker of Lakemba Mosque, one of the largest mosques in Australia. The LMA provides a wide range of services, including culturally sensitive support, legal clinics, youth work, and a weekly food bank.
HUMAN APPEAL
Human Appeal is an international development and relief charity that operates across the globe. They provide immediate relief during emergencies and initiate self-sustaining development programs where necessary and feasible. With a presence in 39 countries across 4 continents, Human Appeal aims to combat poverty, social injustice, and natural disasters
ISSA – ISLAMIC SOCIETY OF SOUTH AUSTRALIA
The Islamic Society of South Australia (ISSA) is a community-based organisation that serves the Muslim community in South Australia. Through various programs, events, and initiatives, ISSA aims to create a supportive environment for Muslims and contribute positively to the broader community. ISSA regularly conducts legal workshops, trainings and charities to help the communities in need.
ASA – ADELAIDE SISTER ASSOCIATION
ASA – Adelaide Sister Association is a social organisation that works to raise awareness empower women and advocate for the people in need specially in refugees rehabilitation and helping people affected by war and other pressing issues.
AFOPA – AUSTRALIAN FRIEND OF PALESTINE.
The Australian Friends of Palestine Association (AFOPA) is a not-for-profit community organisation based in South Australia working to promote a just peace for the Palestinian people based on international law and UN resolutions. They are actively advocating and collecting humanitarian support for the people affected by the war in gaza.
FEED THE WORLD.
Feed the World is an initiative launched by the Lebanese Muslim Association (LMA) with a legacy of over 50 years of service to the Australian community and humanitarian work globally. Their work extends beyond food packs, aiming to empower poor smallholder farm families to feed themselves and provide for the future through sustainable farming.
